Residents have the opportunity to meet with local law enforcement officers, ask questions and exchange ideas over a cup of coffee with the Kauaʻi Police Department at the end of the week.

A flyer advertises Coffee with a Cop ahead of the event on Friday, Nov. 6.

Kai Bar Coffee Roasters in Kīlauea will be hosting the “Coffee with a Cop’ event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6.

People are encouraged to attend and share their concerns in a relaxed, neutral setting. There is no agenda, and no appointment is necessary.

“Coffee with a Cop is designed to show the community that we welcome interactions and are here to listen,” said Kauaʻi Police Department Chief Rudy Tai. “Stop by, enjoy a cup of delicious coffee, and allow us the opportunity to get to know you better.”

To learn more, visit the Coffee with a Cop website. For questions, contact the Kauaʻi Police Department at (808) 241-1674, or email kpdpio@kauai.gov.
