Anaina Hou Community Park in February 2027 invites the public to Kīlauea for a special acoustic musical experience like none other with a musician known for fusing reggae, rap, beatboxing and hip hop with improvised jazz melodies and rhythms plus a style of songful prayer.
Ticket sales for a Feb. 13, 2027, evening with 47-year-old Matisyahu — described by Miami New Times as “tremendous, zen-like and enlightening” — begin this Friday on the Anaina Hou website.

He will highlight music from his seminal breakout record “Live at Stubb’s” along with music from his new studio release “Ancient Child,” as well as additional fan favorites, in a stripped back setting from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the park’s Porter Pavilion.
An Evening with Matisyahu naturally digs deep into the meaning of the song itself, and lays his spiritual journey bare, bringing a closeness to the artist-fan relationship.
The acoustic performance provides the perfect setting to allow the singer’s voice and beat-boxing virtuosity to expand through lyrical intensity, famed repertoire and musical improvisation.
Matisyahu will chart a course through song and story, from his breakout smash 2005 single “King Without A Crown,” which was a Top 40 hit in the United States, to global hits such as “One Day” and “Sunshine” through his spiritual wandering in “Surrender” and “Searchin” up through “Ancient Child,” his eighth studio release.
Audience members will experience the singer’s journey through his music as he returns to a deep love of Judaism and the existential quest to find universal meaning in the darkness with songs such as “Sound Foundation” and “Crosswinds.”
Visit the Anaina Hou website to get your tickets right away Friday or add to your calendar what promises to be an amazing and intimate show with this special artist.

Hurricane Lowell support
Anaina Hou Community Park shifted from its daily role as a community park into its emergency role as Kīlauea Resilience Hub when Hurricane Lowell impacted Kauaʻi at the beginning of September.
The park continues North Shore community outreach and support as hurricane recovery and relief efforts move forward, and the public’s contributions make it all possible.
Public and community support helps replenish resources already committed to the response, sustain recovery work still underway, restore the Anaina Hou campus and ensure the park remains ready to serve the North Shore every day and when the next emergency occurs.
