Road closures for Pua Loke and Ulu Mahi subdivisions will run through Oct. 23

The Kauaʻi County Department of Public Works announced that single lane and full road closures in the Pua Loke and Ulu Mahi subdivisions will run through Oct. 23, weather permitting.

The closures are necessary for public safety while crews resurface the roads.

In the Pua Loke subdivision, closures will affect portions of Pīkake Street, Pua Loke Street, Kupu Lane, Mohala Street, Kokiʻo Street, ʻIliahi Street, Kiele Lane, ʻAwapuhi Street and Puaiki Street.

They are taking place Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Access will be limited to local traffic only.

Use alternate routes if possible and allow extra time to get to destinations. No parking will be allowed in the work zones.

In the Ulu Mahi subdivison, portions of Pua Nani Street, Aheahe Street, Aukoi Street, Palau Mahu Street, Kanani Street, Aheahe Place, Hili Street, Hili Place, Kepa Street and Huna Street are affected. The work will be done from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
