The next reuse collection event will be held Friday, Oct. 2, at the Kaua‘i Resource Center, 3460 Ahukini Road in Līhuʻe.
Residents, businesses and other organizations can bring unwanted or unneeded items for reuse, including clothing, small furniture, kitchen items, children’s toys, books and shoes.
Clothing and textiles do not need to be in good condition; torn or stained clothing is okay.
Please do not bring eWaste, chemicals, medical equipment, appliances, food items, baby items (other than clothing) or broken items.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Solid Waste Division encourages the public to check with their local thrift stores to see if they can accept donations before bringing items to the Kauaʻi Resource Center.
Due to health and safety concerns, heavy equipment in the area, and to reduce the chance of injury to customers unloading heavy items, Goodwill requests that the public remain in their vehicles while on-site.
Thrift stores and businesses, please call the Recycling Office at 808-241-4838 or email Ssumner@higoodwill.org to schedule pick-up service.
