Wastewater manhole and sewer line inspections along Kaua‘i County roads started in the Wailua area Tuesday, Oct. 20, and will continue through the week, weather permitting.

The inspections will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, through Friday, Oct. 23. The inspections will prompt one-lane closures on Leho Drive and Nehe Road.

One lane of traffic will remain open at all times, and flaggers, signs, and cones will direct traffic through the work zones, according to a Kaua‘i County press release.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes when possible and allow extra time to reach their destinations. No parking will be allowed in the work zones. Use caution when traveling through the area and follow posted signs and directions from flaggers.

For more information, contact the Department of Public Works Wastewater Management Division at 808-241-4082 or pwww@kauai.gov, or Stephen Esaki, project engineer at Kennedy Jenks, at 808-218-6032.
