“We know that taking time away from work for a scheduled training isn’t always realistic, especially for contractors and working professionals,” said Hā Sustainability Principal Consultant Hannah Peila. “Having a self-paced option means people can still take advantage of these free trainings and build new skills on a schedule that works for them.”
The series provides opportunities for contractors, tradespeople, energy professionals and others looking to expand their knowledge of residential energy efficiency, building performance and heat pump technologies through the Training for Residential Energy Contractors program.
“[Training for Residential Energy Contractors] is about creating opportunities for Hawaiʻi workers and jobseekers to build practical skills that support immediate energy efficiency savings for Hawaiʻi residents,” said Hawaiʻi State Energy Office Jobs and Outreach Branch Manager Cameron Black. “By providing training at no cost, we’re helping make professional development more accessible while strengthening the local workforce needed to advance energy efficiency cost-savings measures to residents across the state.”
