New Kauaʻi Habitat for Humanity job positions will expand the organization’s capacity to build affordable homes and strengthen communities on Kauaʻi.

Kauaʻi Habitat for Humanity was awarded two AmeriCorps construction crew leader positions for the 2026-27 service year.

AmeriCorps is a national service program that connects people with opportunities to serve communities across the United States. At Habitat for Humanity, AmeriCorps members support Habitat’s mission while working alongside staff, volunteers, and homeowners.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to welcome two AmeriCorps members to our team,” said Milani Pimental, executive director of Kauaʻi Habitat for Humanity. “We are looking for people who believe in our mission and are ready to put that belief into action. These positions provide an opportunity to serve our community while gaining valuable hands-on experience and becoming part of the work to build stronger homes and stronger communities.”

The construction crew leader positions are full-time service roles lasting approximately 10.5 months. Crew leaders help guide volunteers and Habitat homeowner families through construction activities while helping maintain a safe, productive, and welcoming work environment.

Construction activities may include site preparation, framing, drywall, flooring, roofing, finish carpentry, and landscaping, among other aspects of residential construction.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident. A high school diploma or GED is also required.

Habitat for Humanity encourages people who believe in the importance of safe, affordable housing and want to make a meaningful difference in the Kauaʻi community to apply.

Those interested can apply for the position on the Kauaʻi Habitat for Humanity website.
