Pacific Missile Range Facility reopened guest passes for select recreational sites.
Recovery operations in the aftermath of Hurricane Lowell are ongoing throughout the installation; however, some recreational areas sustained minimal damage during the storm and personnel were able to safely restore select sites for guest recreational use.

Pacific Missile Range Facility recreational sites now open to those with guest passes:
- Shenanigans parking lot and beach access.
- Kinikini Ditch Beach Access Road (weekends and federal holidays only).
- Mānā Motors (normal business hours).
- Car wash (normal business hours).
- Movie theater (Friday-Sunday).
- Guest cottages (accepting reservations; access reserved for cottage guests only).
Beach access is allowed from Shenanigans and Kinikini Ditch access sites only. Shenanigans Restaurant and deck as well as access to Waiapua‘a Bay and Trail remain closed.
No new guest pass applications will be processed as the installation prioritizes recovery operations The pass and ID office will resume processing of new applications when recovery efforts allow.
Motorists should follow all speed limits and traffic signs. No parking on roadsides.
There also is an increase in nēnē population on base, so motorists are advised to slow down near native wildlife and stop for nēnē crossing. Nēnē breeding and nesting season is from September through April.
Pacific Missile Range Facility recently initiated its Dark Skies program to keep seabird fledglings safe during shearwater fledging season from Sept. 15 through Dec. 15. All non-essential lights will be turned off at sunset and essential lights shielded.

The Pacific Missile Range Facility Recreational Guest Pass Program allows passholders access from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. 7 days a week, unless otherwise noted, to recreational sites and services on base. It also is subject to change without notice.
The Navy Exchange and the Navy Exchange gas station are not authorized uses of the guest pass program.
