The County of Kauaʻi Housing Agency will accept online applications for its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list at midnight on Tuesday, Sept. 1 until further notice.
The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program provides rental assistance to very low-income families. Applicants must meet the program’s requirements, and eligible applicants will be selected from the waiting list based on preference ranking.
Applying for the waiting list is free. The Housing Agency cautions applicants against individuals or companies offering application assistance for a fee. These individuals or companies are not affiliated with the Housing Agency and should be considered fraudulent.
Online applications will be completed and accepted here.
For members of the public who need computer and online access, applications may be completed using the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher kiosk in the lobby of the Housing Agency at the Līhuʻe Civic Center, 4444 Rice St., in the Piʻikoi Building.
For assistance applying to the waiting list, call the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher office at 808-241-4440 or email jtoguchi@kauai.gov to schedule an appointment at least two days before your anticipated kiosk visit.
