Water service has been restored for the Hā‘ena-Wainiha service areas, the Kauaʻi Department of Water said Monday.
Crews restored power using a generator, and the system is now regenerating. As a result, water service is being restored, the department said.
Updates will be posted as they become available at www.kauaiwater.org.
Original Post: But water conservation notices remain for Hā‘ena-Wainiha, Kekaha, Hapapēpē-ʻEleʻele and Hanalei service areas.
Some customers may experience low water pressure.
Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only, such as cooking, drinking and sanitation to avoid a full water service outage.
Water conservation measures include turning off fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems. In the event of a water service outage, do not run appliances that require water, and do not let your water heaters become empty.
This notice will remain active until the conservation notice is lifted.
