The Kauaʻi Department of Water has issued an immediate water conservation notice for the Hanalei and Haena-Wainiha service areas due to power outages.

Customers may experience low water pressure.

Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only, such as cooking, drinking and sanitation to avoid a full water service outage.

Water conservation measures include turning off fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems.  In the event of a water service outage, do not run appliances that require water, and do not let your water heaters become empty.

This notice will remain active until the conservation notice is lifted.
