Families, veterans and community members are invited to gather for a free outdoor Movie Night on Aug. 14 at the Kauai Veterans Center, offering an evening of entertainment, friendly competition and community fellowship.

The center will host a screening of “Lilo and Stitch Live.” The doors open at 5:30 p.m., followed by a trivia contest at 5:45 p.m.

The movie begins at 6:15 p.m.

Bart Thomas of the Kauai Veterans Council encourages attendees to bring beach chairs, blankets or other comfortable seating for the outdoor event. Some chairs will be available on-site.

Food will be available for purchase throughout the evening, while admission to the movie is free. Donations will be accepted to help support future community programs and activities.

Guests will also have the opportunity to tour the Kauaʻi Veterans Museum, which will be open during the event.

Organizers ask attendees to leave alcohol at home to help maintain a safe, welcoming and family-friendly environment for all.
