Kaua‘i Ocean Safety Bureau officials are advising no swimming or other ocean activities after a shark sighting at Kekaha Beach.
Officials spotted a 15-foot tiger shark in waters off the beach park, according to a preliminary report. No injuries were reported, according to a press release from Kaua‘i County. As a safety precaution, warning signs have been posted and officials will continue to monitor the area.
If there are no other sightings by Tuesday afternoon, signs will be taken down.
