Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following lane closures planned for weekdays — unless otherwise noted — through Aug. 7 on several roadways around Kaua‘i.

HIGHWAY 50

KĪPŪ TO KŌLOA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 3.4 and 6.6 in the vicinity of Haul Cane Road near the Kauaʻi Humane Society and Maluhia Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 2-7 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for installing rumble strips and pavement striping.

KŌLOA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 5.9 and 6.7 in the vicinity of Maluhia Road, on from 8:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. for reconstructing grass median.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in the westbound direction, between mile posts 6.4 and 6.7 in the vicinity of Maluhia Road, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for emergency tree trimming.

ʻŌMAʻO

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in the westbound direction, between mile posts 8.7 and 9 in the vicinity of Pīwai Reservoir and ‘Ūpā Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for waterline installation.

LĀWAʻI

• LANE SHIFT in the westbound direction, between mile posts 9.9 and 10.3 in the vicinity of Akemāmā Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 1-7 for emergency roadway repair.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 10.3 and 10.4 in the vicinity of Kōloa Road and Wāwae Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance and tree trimming.

HIGHWAY 51

NĀWILIWILI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, near mile post 0.8 in the vicinity of Lālā Road and Kapule Highway, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for concrete work and drainage installation. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

LĪHU‘E TO KEĀLIA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0 and 10 in the vicinity of Rice Street and Keālia Beach, from 1 to 6 a.m. Aug. 4-6 for curb clearing.
• ROVING LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 2.6 and 10 in the vicinity of Kapule Highway and Keālia Beach, from 1 to 6 a.m. Aug. 6 for Herbicide Application.

ANAHOLA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 13.5 and 14.5 in the vicinity of Keālia Road and Hōkūʻalele Road, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.

ANAHOLA TO MOLOAʻA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 15 and 17 in the vicinity of ʻAliomanu Road, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.

HANALEI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 1.9 and 2.3 in the vicinity of Pāpio Place and Hanalei Bridge, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 2-7 for paving. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HALE MŌMAHA TO HĀʻENA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 7.9 and 8.7 in the vicinity of Ālealea Road, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for tree trimming near high voltage lines. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HIGHWAY 58

PUA LOKE

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in the eastbound direction, between mile posts 1.8 and 2 in the vicinity of Halekō Road and Kaumualiʻi Highway, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sidewalk and roadway restoratiion.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in the eastbound direction near mile post 2, in the vicinity of Kukui Grove Street and Kaumualiʻi Highway, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sidewalk and roadway restoration.

HIGHWAY 540

KALĀHEO TO ‘ELE‘ELE

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0.0 and 3.8 in the vicinity of Kauwai Street and Huehu Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance and shoulder grading.

HIGHWAY 550

KŌKE‘E

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0.1 and 3.2 in the vicinity of Huakaʻi Road, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for striping and pavement marking. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 3.2 and 3.5, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for boring.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 4.6 and 8, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for BMP installation and shoulder widening. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HIGHWAY 583

KAPA‘IA

• ROVING LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 3.5 and 3.9, from 1 to 6:30 a.m. Aug. 4 for weed control spraying.

HIGHWAY 5600

WAILUĀ TO KAPAʻA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE, between mile posts 0.8 and 3 in the vicinity of Kūhiō Highway to Olohena Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for pavement marking and striping. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
