Residents, businesses and other organizations can bring items including:

  • Clothing.
  • Small furniture.
  • Kitchen items.
  • Children’s toys.
  • Books.
  • Shoes.

Clothing and textiles do not need to be in good condition; torn or stained clothing is OK.

Do not bring:

  • eWaste.
  • Chemicals.
  • Medical equipment.
  • Appliances.
  • Food items.
  • Baby items (other than clothing).
  • Broken items.

Kaua‘i County Solid Waste Division encourages the public to check with local thrift stores first to see if they can accept donations before bringing items to the reuse collection event.

Goodwill requests the public remain in their vehicles while on-site because of health and safety concerns, heavy equipment in the area and to reduce the chance for injury to people unloading heavy items.

Thrift stores and businesses can call the Kaua‘i County recycling office at 808-241-4838 or email Ssumner@higoodwill.org to schedule pickup service.

Call 808-241-4841 or visit the Kaua‘i County website for information about general recycling or reuse.
