At noon on Wednesday, the National Weather Service forecasters in Honolulu canceled the high surf advisory, with Tropical Depression Fausto continuing to weaken and move away from the Hawaiian Islands.

But as the surf lowers, strong breaking waves and strong currents could impact east-facing shorelines. The public is advised to heed all advice from ocean safety officials, and remember: when in doubt, don’t go out.
