Kaua‘i Police Department’s Officer of the Month for July 2026 is Bobilee K. Silva, who was honored July 24 during a Kaua‘i Police Commission meeting.
Silva was commended for her exceptional performance during the past year while assigned to the Waimea District, Waimea Days Watch.
She showed a high level of initiative and dedication by proactively engaging with the community through traffic enforcement, service of legal documents, responding to calls for service and carrying out other community-oriented policing activities.
Silva made 62 arrests, including 5 felony arrests and 57 misdemeanor arrests. She issued 519 citations, including 130 for moving violations and 147 warning citations. These warning citations form part of her efforts to educate the community and promote public safety.
Silva additionally initiated and executed 1 search warrant and prepared 3 arrest warrants, demonstrating her commitment to thorough investigation and effective law enforcement practices.
Beyond her regular duties, she is commended for her willingness to support Kaua‘i Police Department in other areas by taking on extra shifts in Patrol, Cell Block and the Dispatch Call Center. These actions exemplify strong teamwork.
