All 9 Walmart stores throughout Hawai’i are hosting The Wellness Event this weekend to provide families an opportunity to check key health metrics, explore immunization options and complete wellness needs shile shopping for school essentials and other needs.
The free annual summer wellness event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 25 at Līhuʻe Walmart on Kauaʻi.
Walk-ins are welcome; no registration is required.
Customers can receive a variety of health screenings, connect with Walmart pharmacists and learn more about resources that support overall wellness.
The event makes preventive care accessible and affordable, especially during the busy back-to-school season.
What customers can expect
- Free health screenings: Including blood pressure and body-mass index.
- Immunizations: No-cost flu shots (covered by most major insurance plans), plus affordable immunizations such as respiratory syncytial virus, shingles, tetanus, human papillomavirus and more.
- Guidance: Trusted Walmart pharmacists will offer nutrition insights, medication support and personalized recommendations.
- Eyesight checks: Complimentary vision screenings.
- Curated wellness sample boxes: The boxes feature nutritious snacks, vitamins, supplements and other essentials to fuel health journeys (while supplies last).
And with increasing interest in glucagon-like peptide-1, or GLP-1, therapies — using medications mimicking a natural hormone to regulate blood sugar, slow digestion and increase feelings of fullness — Walmart is also offering resources for customers interested in learning more about weight management, including guidance from pharmacists and access to additional wellness support.
