Ballot packets for the upcoming 2026 state primary elections were mailed July 16. Voters should arrive them soon if they haven’t already.

Ballot packets are only mailed to active voters. If you moved to a new residence or changed your mailing address and have not updated your voter registration, you must do so before you can vote in this election.

If you receive a ballot packet for someone who is no longer at the address, write “NOT AT THIS ADDRESS” and place it back in the mail. The returned ballot packet will be used to flag the corresponding voter’s registration record and help identify outdated records in the voter file.

Ballot drop boxes for the 2026 primaries were deployed July 17 at these locations:

• Hanalei Neighborhood Center (5-5358 Kūhiō Highway).
• Princeville Public Library (4343 Emmalani Drive).
• Kīlauea Neighborhood Center (2460 Keneke Street).
• Kapa‘a Public Library (1464 Kūhiō Highway).
• Waipouli Town Center (near Guardian Self Storage 4-711 Kūhiō Highway).
• Kōloa Neighborhood Center (3461 Weliweli Road).
• Kalāheo Neighborhood Center (4480 Papalina Road).
• Hanapēpē Public Library (4490 Kona Road).
• Waimea Neighborhood Center (4556 Makeke Road).
• Elections Division (4386 Rice Street).

Drop boxes will be accessible 24 hours a day through 7 p.m. on Primary Election Day, Aug. 8.

Ballots must be received — NOT postmarked — by 7 p.m. Aug. 8.
