The nonprofit Healing Horses Kauaʻi invites children to participate in its 2026 Summer Horsemanship and Riding Camps, which offer hands-on instruction in horseback riding, animal care and life skills.
The weeklong sessions are scheduled to run from July 20 to 24, from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is open to children ages 4 to 14.
Camp activities during this summer break will include basic riding lessons, grooming and horse care, as well as games and arts and crafts to build confidence, responsibility and teamwork.
Founder Karin Stoll said the program is designed to give keiki meaningful interaction with horses while fostering communication and creativity in a supportive outdoor setting.
Families are asked to send children with lunch, water, sunscreen, long pants and a hat.

This summer, Stoll notes that families can enjoy a unique, activity-packed experience with their horses and facilities by hosting celebrations and parties or having the horses brought to them.
On Aug. 16, community members are encouraged to participate in the Super Duper Poop Drop Fundraiser event for a chance to win various prizes.
The farm will grid out 300 numbered spaces, selling 300 tickets at $10 each.
“The horses then get fed breakfast, and the rest comes naturally!” Stoll said. “Whoever poops first, second or third on the grid wins 1st, 2nd or 3rd prizes. It’s super fun.”
She adds that participants don’t have to be present at the farm to win. The event begins at 11 a.m.
Healing Horses Kauaʻi is currently seeking volunteers. The farm is also raising monetary donations for several specific program needs.
