New flights to US Pacific Northwest, Mountain West locations, Las Vegas service expands

Alaska Airlines Inc., which includes Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, is expanding seasonal service, offering new nonstop flights between Honolulu and Boise, Idaho, and Spokane, Wash., among other adjustments.

Access between Hawai‘i and the U.S. Pacific Northwest and Mountain West expands in mid-December as Alaska Airlines becomes the only carrier to connect Honolulu with Boise and Spokane. Hawaiian Airlines also will increase seasonal capacity on existing routes to Las Vegas, including three new weekly flights during peak holiday and spring break periods between Honolulu and Las Vegas.

Hawaiian’s three-times-weekly winter Auckland service — which has operated since the COVID-19 pandemic — also is ending in November because of challenges of high fuel costs, soft demand recover in international Pacific markets, unfavorable exchange rates and evolving global travel trends.
