Minor coastal flooding is expected throughout the Hawaiian Islands during high tide on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, the water levels are expected to run higher than predicted, which will likely lead to minor flooding along the shoreline and in low-lying coastal areas. The coastal statement is in place until 9 p.m.
Areas most vulnerable include low-lying coastal roadways, docks, boat ramps and other coastal infrastructure of all islands. Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minor coastal erosion and saltwater inundation.
