Lane closures scheduled through July 17 on several roadways around Kaua‘i

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following lane closures planned for weekdays, unless otherwise noted, through July 17 on several roadways around Kaua‘i.

HIGHWAY 50

KĪPŪ TO KŌLOA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 3.4 and 6.6 in the vicinity of Haul Cane Road near the Kauaʻi Humane Society and Maluhia Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. July 12-17 for installing rumble strips and pavement striping.

KALĀHEO

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 11 and 11.5 in the vicinity of Lauoho Road and Hokua Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for emergency tree trimming.

KALĀHEO TO ‘ELE‘ELE

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 12 and 15 in the vicinity of Ola Pua Road and Pua Hau Place, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.

HIGHWAY 51

NĀWILIWILI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction near mile post 0.8, in the vicinity of Lālā Road and Kapule Highway, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for installing pavement striping, markers on the roadway and drainage. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HIGHWAYS 56/560

KAPA‘IA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in the northbound direction, between mile posts 1.1 and 1.2 in the vicinity of Maʻalo Road and Kapaʻia Road, from 1:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 11 for landscape maintenance.

KAPAʻA TO KEĀLIA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 8.1 and 9.6 in the vicinity of ʻŌhiʻa Street and Māʻilihunā Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for signage and paving work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

ANAHOLA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 13.5 and 16 in the vicinity of Keālia Road, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0 and 3 in the vicinity of Emmalani Drive and Mahimahi Road, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 16-17 for landscape maintenance.

HANALEI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 2.8 and 3.3 in the vicinity of Mālolo Road and ʻAnae Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 17 for concrete work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 1.9 and 2.6 in the vicinity of Aku Road, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. July 12-17 for paving work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HIGHWAY 58

PUA LOKE

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible, in the vicinity of Kukui Grove Street and Kūhiō Highway, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sewer line installation.

HIGHWAY 550

KŌKE‘E

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0.1 and 3.2 in the vicinity of Huakaʻi Road, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for striping and pavement marking. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
• FULL CLOSURE, between mile posts 0.4 and 6.7 in the vicinity of Maʻule Road and Kōkeʻe Road, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. for full depth reconstruction and resurfacing. Use Kōkeʻe Road in Kekaha to get to Kōkeʻe State Park.

HIGHWAY 583

KAPA‘IA

• ROVING LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 3.5 and 3.9, from 1 to 6:30 a.m. July 14 for herbicide application.

HIGHWAY 5600

WAILUĀ TO KAPAʻA

• ROVING LANE CLOSURE, between mile posts 1 and 1.5 in the vicinity of Olohena Road and Haul Cane Road, from 1 to 6:30 a.m. July 16 for landscape maintenance.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE, between mile posts 0.8 and 3 in the vicinity of Kūhiō Highway (Wailuā) to Olohena Road (Kapaʻa) from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for pavement marking and striping. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
