A brown water advisory was canceled the afternoon of July 8 at Wai‘oli Beach on Kaua‘i’s North Shore.
However, Hawai‘i Department of Health officials continue to urge the public to avoid brown, murky coastal waters, especially following storms or heavy rainfall: if the water is brown, turn around.
The advisory was originally issued July 7.
It also is good practice to stay out of affected waters for 48 to 72 hours after rain stops and the beach received full sunshine.
