The Vidinha Stadium parking lot will close in phases starting July 13 to accommodate continued renovations at the stadium.

On that day, construction will start in the south parking lot, which will be closed to the public. The north parking lot will remain open through July 26.

Work includes demolition of existing curbs, gutters, and asphalt; installation of new curbing, gutters, pavement, and parking striping; and construction of two new bus stop shelters and a new bus turn-in/turn-out along Hoʻolako Street, according to a news release from Kaua‘i County.

Beginning July 27, construction will move into the north parking lot. The entire Vidinha Stadium parking lot, including the grass area along Hoʻolako Street, will be closed to the public from July 27 to Oct. 31.

During this time, the public will not be permitted to enter the parking lot or adjacent grass area for safety reasons.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to obey all posted signs and barriers and use caution when traveling in the area.
