Lane closures scheduled at Ala Kinoiki, Poʻipū Road intersection

Kauaʻi County Department of Public Works, in coordination with contractor Goodfellow Bros., notifies residents, businesses and visitors about upcoming lane closures in Poʻipū.

Lane closures at Poʻipū Road and Ala Kinoiki intersection are scheduled from June 22-26 and are necessary for crews to complete work on the Ala Kinoiki roundabout.

The north section of the Ala Kinoiki Roundabout will be closed during the work period, and all traffic through the roundabout will be directed through a single lane.

Temporary traffic signals and traffic control signs will be in place along Ala Kinoiki, Poʻipū Road and Peʻe Road, with green signals allowing only one of the four approaches to the roundabout to proceed at any given time.

Red signal intervals of up to 3 or 4 minutes should be anticipated. Drivers are advised to use caution and follow all posted signs and signals while traveling through the area.

Construction crews will make every effort to complete the work as efficiently as possible while minimizing impacts to the surrounding community.
