The Līhu‘e Shuttle, which is The Kaua‘i Bus Route 70, will have a modified route Saturday, June 13.

Rice Street will be closed from 8:45 to 11 a.m. for the King Kamehameha Day Parade and Celebration, so during the closure, there will be no service at the following bus stops:

  • Rice Street/Ho‘olako Street (both sides of the street).
  • Rice Street/Hardy Street.
  • Rice Street/ʻUmi Street.
  • Rice Street/ʻEwalu Street.
  • Rice Street/Kalena Street.

This will affect the Līhu‘e Shuttle route at 8:55 a.m., 9:55 a.m. and potentially 10:55 a.m., depending on when Rice Street reopens.

Riders looking to access Rice Street during the closure should use the ʻEiwa Street Civic Center bus stop.

Contact The Kaua‘i Bus at 808-246-8110 or via email at thekauaibus@kauai.gov for additional information about the modified services.
