Kaua‘i police reported Saturday morning, June 6, that they located a Hanapēpē man who is a person of interest in an ongoing criminal investigation.

Jason Bagain

Law enforcement said 45-year-old Jason Bagain was apprehended Friday evening, June 5, without incident.

Kaua‘i Police Department asked the public earlier this week for help with finding the 5-foot-7, 145-pound Bagain, who police wanted to speak with in connection with a report from Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital that a patient was treated Thursday, June 4, for a gunshot wound.

Police think this was an isolated incident and the public is not in danger.

Kaua‘i Police Department thanks the public for its assistance and continued cooperation throughout the investigation.
