Free property tax relief workshops scheduled in May, June, July

Kaua‘i property owners are invited to three free summer workshops beginning this month to learn about available property tax relief programs.

Each workshop will be conducted from 5 to 7 p.m. at each venue.

Workshop schedule

• May 27: Waipā Foundation Keanolani Hale, 5-5785A Kūhiō Highway, Hanalei.
• June 24: Līhu‘e Public Library, 4344 Hardy St., Līhu‘e.
• July 15: Waimea Public Library, 9750 Kaumuali‘i Highway, Waimea.

The workshops — made possible through a partnership between Kaua‘i County Real Property Division, Kīpuka Kuleana and Office of Hawaiian Affairs — will include:

• Available property tax exemptions.
• Eligibility requirements.
• Application processes.
• Opportunity to get hands-on assistance from county and Office of Hawaiian Affairs staff in a supportive, community setting.

Dinner also will be provided at all workshops.
