A high wind warning is now in effect until 6 a.m. Friday for north and interior mountain areas of Kaua‘i, replacing a previous high wind watch for the Garden Isle.
National Weather Service Honolulu office forecasters report that south winds of 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph, are expected in the warning areas.
