Thirty women-owned businesses will be selling their locally-made products during the Women’s History Month Craft Fair this Saturday.

The special shopping event will feature women-owned businesses that are members of Kauaʻi Made, which is county’s official program that highlights and promotes products made on Kauaʻi.

Attendees can shop a diverse selection of locally made products, meet the women behind the brands, and celebrate their contributions to Kauaʻi’s economy and community.

County of Kauaʻi’s Office of Economic Development established the Kauaʻi Made program in 2005 under then-Director Beth Amaro. Her vision helped create a strong network of Kauaʻi-based businesses, which now includes over 115 local companies.

The program has been recognized for its branding and visibility, including its logo and website.

“Women entrepreneurs play a vital role in our island’s economy and sustainability,” said Sara Miura from the Kauaʻi Committee on the Status of Women. “This event honors their contributions and celebrates the Kauaʻi Made program, which has empowered small businesses on Kauaʻi for two decades.”
