Action film star and legendary martial artist Chuck Norris was hospitalized on Kauaʻi on Wednesday following a medical emergency, according to a report from TMZ.
Details about the nature of the emergency have not been disclosed.
Norris celebrated his 86th birthday on the Garden Island on March 10. In a video he posted on his social platforms he said: “I donʻt age, I level up.”
He added: “I’m 86 today! Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young. I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love.”
TMZ said Norris was doing some training on Kauaʻi, and is in “good spirits” following the medical emergency.
He is set to appear as himself in the upcoming Australian action-comedy “Zombie Plane,” alongside Vanilla Ice and Sophie Monk.
Norris is known for starring in the 1990s in the long-running CBS television series “Walker, Texas Ranger.”
He also is familiar to movie fans worldwide for films that include: “The Hitman,” “The Delta Force, “The Colombian Connection, “The Expendables 2,” “Missing in Action,” “Firewalker” and “Sidekicks.”
He holds black belts in multiple disciplines, including karate and taekwondo. He also thanked supporters for their encouragement throughout his decades-long career.
