Healing Horses Kauaʻi in Wailua is inviting children to spend their spring break learning horseback riding, horsemanship and life skills through its annual youth camp.
The non-profit is hosting its 2026 Spring Horsemanship and Riding Camps from March 16–20, offering daily sessions designed to introduce children to horses while promoting confidence, responsibility and creativity.
The program runs from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day and is open to children ages 4 to 14. Camp activities include horseback riding, basic horsemanship lessons, games, arts and crafts, said Karin Stoll, founder of Healing Horses Kaua’i.
Stoll added that the camp is designed to provide more than just recreation.
“Our goal is to give kids the gift of enjoyment, empowerment and education,” she said. “Working with horses helps children build confidence, develop patience and learn responsibility in a supportive environment.”

Participants will learn to groom and care for horses, practice basic riding skills and take part in group activities to strengthen teamwork and communication skills. Families are asked to send children with lunch, water, sunscreen, long pants and a hat.
The Horsemanship and Riding Camps help support the broader mission of Healing Horses Kauai, which provides equine-assisted learning and therapeutic experiences for youth and community members across the island.
