UPDATE: Guardrail repairs, lane closures postponed in Kapaʻa due to inclement weather

Update at 4 p.m. March 12: Guardrail repairs on Kainahola Road in the vicinity of Kawaihau Road, have been postponed due to inclement weather.

Originally scheduled from March 11 to March 13, the repairs and installation work will cause lane closures along portions of Kainahola Road from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday, March 20, weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to make arrangements to accommodate the necessary lane closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to reach destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
