Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association is officially open for 2026 membership and registration for its Spring season.

Junior golfers throughout Hawai‘i are invited to tee up and join a competitive and educational tournament schedule designed to develop skills on and off the course.

Visit the association website and click on the “Membership” tab to create a player profile and become a member. Players must complete the annual membership payment, pass the Rules of Golf Quiz and maintain an active GHIN Handicap Index after creating a profile.

Juniors who do not yet have a GHIN number or need assistance reactivating one for the year can reach out to Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association staff for help guiding families through the process.

A new 9-Hole Flight option within Spring events is an option for juniors 12 years old and younger. It’s designed to provide a fun and supportive introduction to tournament golf, allowing younger players to gain experience in a competitive setting while building confidence.

Participants will compete through 9 holes with a maximum score per hole and be grouped within a dedicated 9-hole division.

The new flight’s focus is on learning, enjoyment and preparation for full 18-hole or 36-hole competition. No points will be awarded.

Players who want to participate must select the “9-Hole Flight (12U)” option during registration.

Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association is also offering a new member tournament fee waiver for 2026. First-time association members active in another junior golf association in Hawai‘i can receive a onetime waiver of their first Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association tournament entry fee.

Players must complete their Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association membership registration, pay the annual membership fee and pass the Rules of Golf Quiz to qualify.

Waivers apply only to a player’s first association tournament and could require proof of active membership in the allied association.

This initiative is designed to encourage continued growth and participation in junior golf statewide.

The 2026 Spring season opens March 14-15 at Wailuā Golf Course on Kaua‘i, with a tournament for juniors ages 14 years old and younger.
