Water system improvements are scheduled for a portion of Anahola Road.

These improvements require a scheduled water service shutdown on 4373 and 4374 Anahola Road, extending to Anahola Beach Park. Branching roads affected include Kamane, Maia and Pili Kai Roads.

Work, which will be handled by the Kaua‘i County Department of Water and Contractor Cushnie Construction Company, is scheduled for Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

The county will provide a water buffalo for essential water needs during the water service shutdown. The water buffalo will be located at Anahola Village Park.

Customers will need to provide their own water storage containers.

Customers located in the designated service area are advised to prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps:

  • Store water to meet your needs until water service can be safely restored.
  • Notify neighbors, family and friends of the water service shutdown.
  • Those with faulty water heaters should ensure that water heaters do not empty during the shutdown.
