Department of Water closing early later this week for parking lot construction

Kauaʻi County Department of Water will close early at the end of this week to allow for parking lot construction and concrete work.

The department will close at 1 p.m. Friday (Feb. 13). During this time, no access will be allowed to the parking lot, located at at 4398 Pua Loke St., in Līhuʻe.

That includes the bill payment drop box; however, payments can still be made.

Payments while the parking lot is closed

• Payments can still be made through our online customer portal, mail or walk-in.
• Payments also can be made at the Līhu‘e Walmart Customer Service desk during their business hours.
• Identification is required and only the account holder can use this service at Walmart. There also is a $1.99 fee per transaction.

The department also will be closed Feb. 16 in observance of President’s Day.

Regular hours will resume Feb. 17.
