18 lane closures scheduled during week of Feb. 9-13 on Kaua‘i state roadways

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following 18 scheduled lane closures and road work projects on Kauaʻi state roadways on weekdays throughout the week of Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13.

KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50)

KOLOA TO ʻŌMAʻO

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile post 7.5 to 8.7 in the vicinity of Kahili Wai Street and Piwai Reservoir, from 12 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11 for cutting the grass.

ŌMAʻO TO LAWAI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in the southbound direction, near mile post 8.7 to 9.6 in the vicinity of Piwai Reservoir and Piko Road, from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 for trimming the grass.

KAUMAKANI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in the southbound direction, near mile post 18.5 in the vicinity of Kaumakani Road, from Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13. for fire break work.

RICE STREET (ROUTE 51)

NĀWILIWILI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile post 0.1 to 0.7 in the vicinity of Lala Road and Mokoi Street, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10 to Friday, Feb. 13 from for asphalt reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
  

KŪHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560)

LĪHU‘E

• CENTER LANE CLOSURE in both directions, between mile posts 0.1 and 0.3 in the vicinity of Hardy Street and Poinciana Street, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for waterline replacement. No left turns will be allowed through the work area. More details: Click here.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in the southbound direction, near mile post 3.7 in the vicinity of Marine Camp Road, from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, Wednesday, Feb. 11, and Friday, Feb. 13 for cutting the grass.

WAILUĀ

• FULL CLOSURE in the southbound direction on Wailuā Mauka Bridge, between mile posts 5.7 and 5.9 in the vicinity of Wailuā State Park Road and Kuamoʻo Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for concrete work on the Wailuā Mauka Bridge. KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE

• LANE SHIFT possible in either direction, between mile posts 24.4 and 28.1 in the vicinity of Kāhiliholo Road to Emmalani Drive, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for striping.

PRINCEVILLE

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, near mile post 28.1 in the vicinity of Princeville Public Library, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for striping.
• FULL CLOSURE, between mile post 0.3 to 1.2 in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 to Thursday, Feb. 12 for paving. More details: Click here.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile post 0.7 to 1.2 in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 for tree trimming.

HANALEI

• SINGE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 3.9 and 4.4 in the vicinity of Lumahai Beach and Waioli Bridge from 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12 to 5 a.m. Feb. 13 for paving. Alternating traffic will be routed the open lane.

WAIKOKO

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 4.6 and 4.8 in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahaʻi Beach, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9 for soil nail drilling, grouting and concrete work.

ANAHOLA TO MOLOAʻA

• LANE SHIFT possible in either direction, between mile posts 14 and 16 in the vicinity of Aliomanu Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for cutting the grass.

NĀWILIWILI ROAD (ROUTE 58)

PUA LOKE

• INTERSECTION CLOSED in the northbound direction, between mile posts 1.9 and 2 at Kukui Grove Street, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for survey work for future installation of sewer and water lines. Traffic will be detoured to Haleko Road. More details: Click here.
• RIGHT TURN POCKET CLOSURE in the northbound direction, near mile post 2 in the vicinity of Kaumualii Highway from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for installation of underground utilities.

WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (HIGHWAY 550)

KŌKE‘E

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0.0 to 1.1. in the vicinity of Kaumualii Highway and Panini Place, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for pavement reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 4.6 and 11.5 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for shoulder reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
