Coaches meeting scheduled for 2026 Mayor’s Youth Track Meet

Kaua‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation officials are hosting a coaches meeting for the upcoming annual Mayor’s Youth Track Meet.

All public, private and home-school kindergarten through fifth-grade coaches planning to enter athletes in this year’s track meet are invited to attend the meeting planned for 6 p.m. Feb. 19 at Līhu‘e Neighborhood Center.

Event dates and format, rules and regulations as well as applications will be covered during the meeting.

The Mayor’s Youth Track Meet is slated for April 11 at Hanapēpē Stadium and April 18 at Bryan J. Baptiste Athletic Complex.

It will not be at Vidinha Stadium this year because of scheduled construction.

Students in kindergarten through fifth grade who want to participate should contact their respective public, private or home-school coaches.

Kaua‘i Police Activities League, or K-PAL, will also host a track meet for students in grades six through eight.

Details about that event will be announced later.
