9 lane closures scheduled during week of Jan. 24-30 on Kaua‘i state roadways

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following 9 scheduled lane closures and road work projects on Kaua‘i state roadways during the week of Jan. 24-30.

HIGHWAY 50

KĪPŪ TO ʻŌMAʻO

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 2.9 and 8.4 in the vicinity of Kīpū Road and Puneʻe Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Jan. 25-30 for rumble strip and striping work. Traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HIGHWAYS 56/560

LĪHU‘E

• CENTER LANE CLOSURE in both directions, between mile posts 0.1 and 0.3 in the vicinity of Hardy Street and Poinciana Street, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Jan. 15-30 for waterline replacement. No left turns will be allowed through the work area. More details: Click here.

WAILUĀ

• FULL CLOSURE in the southbound direction on Wailuā Mauka Bridge, between mile posts 5.7 and 5.9 in the vicinity of Wailuā State Park Road and Kuamoʻo Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Jan. 26-30 for concrete work on the Wailuā Mauka Bridge. KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE

• LANE SHIFT possible in either direction, between mile posts 24.4 and 28.1 in the vicinity of Kāhiliholo Road to Emmalani Drive, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Jan. 25-30 for striping.

HANALEI

• SINGE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 1.2 and 2.4 in the vicinity of ʻŌhiki Road and Papio Place, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 26-30 for guardrail installation. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 2.6 and 3.3 in the vicinity of Aku Road and ʻAnae Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 26-30 for concrete work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

WAIKOKO

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 4.6 and 4.8 in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahaʻi Beach, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 26-30 for soil nail drilling, grouting and concrete work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HIGHWAY 550

KŌKE‘E

• FULL CLOSURE between mile posts 1.1 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Panini Place and Kōkeʻe Road, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 26-30 for pavement reconstruction and resurfacing. Traffic will be detoured to Kōkeʻe Road. More details: Click here.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE between mile posts 4.6 and 11.5 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 26-30 for shoulder reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
