Temporary bridge in Anahola to reopen in March

The temporary bridge over Olokauha Stream on Anahola Road is anticipated to reopen in mid-March after issues with construction materials delayed the project.

The bridge will remain closed to vehicular traffic for the full duration of construction, according to a news release from Kaua‘i County on Tuesday.

No additional closures are necessary; however, additional space adjacent to the bridge will be utilized for a laydown area. Pedestrian access over the bridge will be retained throughout the project.

Updates will be provided in future news releases if changes occur.

The County urges the public to exercise greater awareness in this area during the construction period for both their safety and the safety of the construction crew.
