Applications are now being accepted for the Adult and Adolescent Mental Health & Substance Abuse Community Program Grants for fiscal year 2026-2027.

The $1 million in grants is issued through Kaua‘i County. The Request for Proposals is available on the Life’s Choices website here.

“Building on last year’s grant opportunity, this funding supports prosocial and prevention programs that give Kauai’s youth positive, healthy ways to grow and stay engaged,” said Kaua‘i County Prosecuting Attorney Rebecca Like. “These investments help reduce future involvement in the justice system and strengthen our island community.”

All proposals must be submitted by email to opagrants@kauai.gov and received no later than 4 p.m. on Feb. 17.

Nonprofit organizations with tax-exempt status are invited to apply. Preference will be given to organizations that have not previously received an award and whose proposals focus on youth.

Individuals requiring auxiliary aid or other accommodation due to a disability may contact Diane DeHart at 808-241-4925 or ddehart@kauai.gov no later than Jan. 30.
