Residential rubbish pickup in the Wailua Homesteads area will be delayed on Tuesday because of staffing shortages, county officials said.

The county’s Solid Waste Division announced that residents whose trash had not been collected by 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 30 are asked to leave their bins at the curb. Collection for the remaining areas is expected to be completed on Wednesday, Dec. 31.

Officials apologized for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their patience.
