Kaua’i County offices to close Christmas, New Year’s holidays

County of Kaua‘i offices, and the Waimea and Kapa‘a county swimming pools, will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays, county officials announced.

Regular business hours will resume the day after each holiday.

In addition to county offices, several facilities will be closed on both holidays, including all neighborhood centers, refuse transfer stations, the Kekaha Landfill, the Puhi Metals Recycling Center, and all HI5 Redemption Centers, including the Līhu‘e location.

Officials said residential refuse collection will continue on its regular schedule, and the Kaua‘i Bus will operate without changes on both holidays.
