Lane closures scheduled in early January 2026 for Haleko Road, Pua Loke Street

Kaua‘i County Department of Public Works and contractor GEOLABS notify the public that single lane closures are planned early next month along Haleko Road, between Rice Street and Nāwiliwili Road, and Pua Loke Street, between Haleko Road and Puaiki Street., in Līhuʻe.

The lane closures are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 5-9, 2026, weather permitting. They are necessary for geotechnical subsurface exploration and improvements to Haleko Road.

Motorists should make appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary lane closures, use alternate routes and allow extra time to get to destinations.

Flaggers will be positioned in the work zones to direct traffic.
