New lūʻau celebrates rich cultural traditions, history, and artistry of Kauaʻi and the Pacific
An immersive cultural experience set along the storied shores of Wailua Bay officially launched at the Hilton Garden Inn Kaua‘i Wailua Bay last week.

The new lūʻau from Tihati Productions, Ltd., a Polynesian entertainment company based in Hawaiʻi, launched on Friday, Dec. 12, celebrating the rich cultural traditions, history, and artistry of Kauaʻi and the Pacific.
The Wailua Nui Lūʻau invites guests on a journey through ancient Wailua, once a seat of royalty and a renowned center of navigation, hula, and storytelling.

The evening features a vibrant celebration of Hawaiian and Polynesian music and dance, as well as a locally inspired 17-course buffet feast feast by Chef Gabriel Balenzuela, highlighting traditional Hawaiian favorites such as fresh imu puaʻa, huli huli chicken, seared island catch ume, Hanalei poi, haupia, and pineapple upside-down cake with Kaloa Rum.
The food will be paired with a stunning production showcasing the talent and artistry for which Tihati Productions is known.
“We are honored to return to Kauaʻi and bring this new lūʻau to life in a place of such deep cultural significance,” said Afatia Thompson, president of Tihati Productions. “Our goal is to share the spirit of Wailua with visitors and kamaʻāina alike through authentic storytelling, heartfelt performances, and the warm hospitality Hawaiʻi is known for.”

Founded in 1969, Tihati Productions Ltd. is committed to cultural integrity, artistic excellence, and community engagement as Hawaiʻi’s longest-running and largest entertainment company. Today, Tihati Productions operates 12 residential lūʻau shows and employs more than 500 team members.
