Kaua‘i County now requesting proposals for its homeless program grants
The Kaua‘i County Housing Agency is now requesting proposals for its Homeless Program grants.
Applications must be received by Jan. 30 by 4:30 p.m. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
The purpose of this grant program is to provide critical services to those who are currently experiencing homelessness, according to a news release from Kaua‘i County. The principal guiding framework of the request is taken from the draft Five-Year Homeless Strategic Plan, completed in November.
The Kauai County Housing Agency will be hosting an informational webinar on Jan. 5 and Jan. 12 at 10 a.m.
The webinar will provide an overview of the Request for Proposals and the application selection criteria. There will also be an open question and answer period via email. Questions will be accepted until Jan. 15.
Priority will be given to proposals that provide the greatest impact while demonstrating fiscal soundness and stability.
Applications must be submitted as a PDF via email to homelessprogramgrants@kauai.gov. Applications will not be accepted by mail or fax.
Applicants will be notified of funding during the week of Feb. 15. The project funding period will be March 1, 2026, to Feb. 28, 2027.
Visit the Homeless Programs page of the Kaua‘i County Housing Agency website for more information, to access the Request for Proposals, and view questions and answers.
