A new self-service kiosk for motor vehicle registrations is now operational in Hanapēpē.

In partnership with Western Motor Service and Intellectual Technology, Kaua‘i County has installed the kiosk at Western Motor Service, located at 1-3680 Kaumuali‘i Highway, expanding access to motor vehicle registration services for residents on Kaua‘i’s westside.

“We know how important it is for our Westside residents to have convenient access to essential County services,” said Kaua‘i County Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami. “Placing this motor vehicle registration kiosk in Hanapēpē helps reduce travel time, eases congestion at central offices, and supports a local business that already serves the community. This is another step toward making government services more accessible and responsive for the people of Kaua‘i.”

The self-service kiosk allows customers to renew their motor vehicle registrations using a touchscreen by entering their license plate number or scanning the barcode on their motor vehicle renewal notice. Transactions may be completed using debit or credit cards.
