Kekaha Landfill to close early Friday

The Kekaha Landfill will close at noon on Friday, Dec. 19, to accommodate a community-sponsored event.

Landfill staff will inform customers, including large commercial haulers, of the early closure. Signs regarding the early closure will also be posted at the landfill scale house to notify customers.

Regular landfill operations will resume on Saturday, Dec. 20, according to the Solid Waste Division.

The landfill’s regular operating hours are 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for commercial loads and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for residential loads. The landfill is closed for lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m.
