2 competitors from Kauaʻi make it to ‘Hawaiʻi to the World’ finale on Sunday night
After 4 weeks of show-stopping performances, emotional stories and unforgettable moments from throughout the pae ʻāina, the stage is set for the “Hawai‘i to the World” finale.
The show airs at 7 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 14) on Hawai‘i News Now. It also will be simulcast on K5 and KHNL and streamed across all Hawai‘i News Now platforms.
Two of the five finalists call Kaua‘i home.

Singer/songwriter Beya and Kumu Hula Troy Allen Lazaro with Hālau Ka Pā Hula o Hīnano tied during the Kaua‘i episode of the talent competition, so both won the chance to perform during the finale.
“It’s an honor for us to represent Kauaʻi through hula and songwriting — two pillars of Hawaiʻi’s culture,” said Beya, adding she and Lazaro encourage the Garden Isle community to watch the finale and “join in supporting all of the artists from across Hawaiʻi who are sharing their stories on this platform.”
The show highlights the diversity of talent throughout all islands — bringing visibility to local artists, cultural practitioners and the unique stories that shape Hawaiʻi’s creative landscape.
“It has been beautiful to witness how the show uplifts community, encourages cultural pride and creates a platform for artists who are deeply rooted in their home islands,” Beya said.
“Hawai‘i to the World” provides a stage for artists and creators from each island — specifically Native Hawaiians — to share their voices, celebrate their culture and inspire pride and connection among future generations, elevating Hawai‘i through culture, creativity and community.
The Hawaiian Council encourages viewers to tune in to cheer on the finalists, each bringing their own powerful artistry, cultural depth and island pride as they compete for the $10,000 grand prize and the coveted title of season champion.

We can’t wait for Hawai‘i to witness what these finalists are about to share.”
The finale will feature a full judging panel consisting of Amy Hānaiali‘i Gilliom, Patrick Makuakāne, Hinaleimoana “Kumu Hina” Wong-Kalu and Lehua Kalima, with host McKenna Maduli and Shawn Kekoa Pimental serving as the show’s music producer.
The episode will also feature special performances by the judges and special guests.
Members of the public will also help crown the season’s Fan Favorite, which will be determined by online voting, celebrating the contestant who receives the most community support.
“Voting opens 24 hours after the finale airs, and community participation plays a meaningful role in uplifting Hawaiʻi’s talent,” Beya said. “Any support from viewers — whether through watching, sharing or voting — makes a big difference for the artists and the visibility of creative work across our islands.”
